Lawrence W. Moore

My professional interests involve music and computers. I compose music for a variety of purposes and in a variety of styles. My choice medium of composition is computer-based electro-acoustic music. My computer interests include software programming and web page design. I produce software for music composition primarily, and I design websites for musicians and artists.

I am a doctoral student at the University of Miami. I am currently completing my dissertation, which focuses on programming in Pure Data to create a compositional environment for twelve-tone, pattern/pulse music. I am also adjunct faculty at UM and teach courses in electronic music and direct the electronic music ensemble.

I am also adjunct faculty at Miami-Dade College where I teach in the Music department as well as the Commcercial Music department. the courses that I teach at MDC include music theory, sound recording, MIDI, music appreciation, music business, and jazz appreciation.
